AFAC makes bespoke rubber extrusions

AFAC makes bespoke rubber extrusions for Manufacturers and metal finishers around the world. AFAC specialises in high performance elastomers suited to hostile environments and processes including extremes of temperature and chemical aggravation.

What we make bespoke rubber extrusions from:

  • Silicone Rubber
  • EPDM Rubber

Used for a wide variety of purposes, the need to make bespoke rubber extrusions is one that many manufacturers of metal products rely on when standard parts don’t fit the requirement.

Since the early 1980s AFAC has had to make bespoke rubber extrusions to fulfil specials required by customers and to stock its own ranges of custom parts.

Right first time, every time.

There are millions of instances where there is a need to make bespoke rubber extrusions. The most frequent AFAC customers are manufacturing components and assemblies for aerospace, automotive, defence and electronics.

    Material Grades

    Which Material to Choose

Industrial grade elastomers are used throughout industry for zillions of different things. AFAC first started making bespoke rubber extrusions in the mid 1980’s. Coming from an engineering background, AFAC’s specialism is high temperature masking for manufacturers, engineers & metal finishers. AFAC is commissioned to make bespoke rubber extrusions for all sorts of niche applications from masking light to electrical insulation, vibration reduction and chemical resistance.

Food grade is the minimum standard for manufacturing elastomers for the retail market. Food grade essentially means safe. In retail there is a need to make bespoke rubber mouldings for too many things to count. The types of products extruded from elastomers in the retail space continues to increase year on year.

The top grade. Does what it says on the tin, it can be used in hospitals and labs. It’s not our bag and isn’t likely to be any time soon.

What we make Bespoke Rubber Extrusions from

AFAC’s niche is high temperature elastomers. Having discovered the properties of Silicone Rubber in the 1980s, the applications for its use have become broader and broader. Customers with differing needs have required different elastomers. As the production process is identical, these have been added to the standard options.

      • Silicone Rubber
      • EPDM

The materials we make bespoke rubber extrusions from have differing properties.

The range of materials covers such a broad range of applications that AFAC has chosen to stick with these and do them incredibly well.

      Silicone Rubber

Incredibly versatile material with high temperature resistance and outstanding sealing properties. Available in a massive range of colours, Silicone rubber can be moulded and extruded with precision to supply durable quality products and components.
